About Me

I am Fermín Delía, a musician and sound producer. I create original music for virtual reality experiences and films, and I manage and curate the cultural aspects of the restaurants Elena, Nuestro Secreto, and Pony Line at the Four Seasons Buenos Aires, enriching their atmospheres with music and art.

As a drummer and manager in Brillo Urbano Big Band, I contribute to humor and jazz shows. I also produce music and soundscapes for podcasts, and I write and produce my own songs. I collaborate with other musicians as a producer and session musician. Additionally, I work with the production company Unlock on exclusive events, bringing my vision and talent to create unique experiences.

Work Portfolio

Virtual Reality Experiences

I have composed original music for various virtual reality experiences, including the educational VR game Patent Quest, the immersive De Cabeza VR, and the artistic journey Las Formas del Laberinto. Each project allowed me to blend sound with interactive storytelling, creating unique auditory experiences for users.

Additionally, I collaborate in the ideation, programming, and testing of TOXI.Media's web and VR experiences, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience.

Films

In the film industry, I have contributed original scores to TOXI's thought-provoking films "La Irracional" and "Pierrot le Bolou." My work aims to enhance the narrative and emotional depth of these cinematic projects through carefully crafted musical compositions.

Live Performances

As a drummer, I perform with many groups, such as the Brillo Urbano Big Band, an 18-piece orchestra known for its humor and jazz shows like "Terapia de Orquesta" and "El Extraño Mundo del Jazz", and Jorge Polanuer Quartet. I also play with the Mariano Castro Clerici Trio, having performed at the La Plantación event, which was the closing ceremony for a beloved restaurant in Pilar, and at La Biblioteca Café. I've played drums and produced music for the rock band Tonto Mike.

Music Production

In addition to live performances, I produce music and soundscapes for various podcasts, bringing unique auditory experiences to different formats. As a songwriter and producer, I have written and produced tracks, including the single "Viaje."

Collaborations

My collaborative efforts include working with other musicians as a producer and session musician, bringing diverse projects to life. I also collaborate with the production company Unlock for exclusive events at the Four Seasons, where I contribute my musical and sound expertise to create unforgettable experiences.

Academic Experience

Conservatorio Superior Manuel de Falla

I hold a degree in Jazz with a specialization in drumming from the Conservatorio Superior Manuel de Falla.

This three-year program provides comprehensive training in jazz performance and theory, emphasizing practical experience through ensemble work and instrument-specific classes.

The curriculum includes courses in musical theory, audioperceptive training, harmonic analysis, rhythmic dictation, and instrumental techniques.

It aims to develop technical skills and a deep understanding of jazz aesthetics and its historical contexts, preparing students for professional careers in music.

The program is taught by active professionals in the jazz scene, ensuring high-quality education and relevant industry insights.

Private Music Tutoring

I offer private music tutoring for a variety of instruments.

My approach focuses on developing effective routines for learning to play music while emphasizing that the student is the owner of their learning process. I aim for each person to feel individual and autonomous, not dependent on me.

I provide methods and introduce students to existing materials, highlighting that attending classes alone won't make them better; consistent practice will.

I firmly believe that imitation is the most effective and ancestral method for learning music.
